Razorpay is one of India's leading payment gateways, trusted by millions of businesses to accept online payments securely. With CheckoutJoy's Razorpay integration, you can seamlessly accept payments from customers in India and around the world for your Kajabi, Thinkific, or Kartra courses and memberships.
The integration is fully automated - once connected, CheckoutJoy handles everything from payment processing to granting your customers access to your digital products. No manual work required.
Webhooks are essential for real-time communication between Razorpay and CheckoutJoy. They ensure your customers get immediate access to your Kajabi, Thinkific, or Kartra products after payment and allow CheckoutJoy to properly manage subscriptions and refunds.
Boost your revenue with recurring payments! CheckoutJoy seamlessly integrates with Razorpay to support both subscription and payment plan options for your Kajabi, Thinkific, or Kartra offers.
Razorpay (and the Indian payment rails it provides — UPI, Paytm wallet, RuPay cards, NetBanking) is available only to businesses registered in India. Onboarding requires an Indian business entity, an Indian phone number, and Indian KYC documentation. There is no path for a foreign-registered company to open a Razorpay account.
If you're a non-Indian business that wants to sell into India, the realistic options are:
Stripe India or PayPal, which can accept Indian-issued cards for foreign merchants — but they do not give buyers access to UPI or other local rails, and Stripe approval rates can be low for some categories (especially high-risk education niches).
Partner with an Indian-registered course creator or agency who runs Razorpay on their account and remits the proceeds to you under a partnership/affiliate agreement.
CheckoutJoy will happily connect any active Razorpay account — the constraint is on Razorpay's onboarding, not the CheckoutJoy integration.
Razorpay applies category-level risk rules during merchant onboarding. Higher-risk content (crypto education, blockchain courses, financial trading) is often declined. The decision is Razorpay's and not something CheckoutJoy can override. If you're blocked, the partner-with-an-Indian-merchant approach above is usually the next-best option.
